More Facebook covers, that I do not upload hereIt happens a lot that I learn something new in Blender but I am not capable of making something that I consider finished or success. So I scrap the project. Most of the time they are good enough to be my personal Facebook profile cover images. So I render a 851x315 image from them.
This one is my latest knowledge: volume rendering in Cycles. It figured it would be good for some dark stuff so I started to make this. I realized my computer isn't good for this, so I scrapped it and rendered out this image.
This is the direct result of a tutorial about volume rendering. The Blender Diplom one. I really do not like to follow tutorials to make the exact same stuff, but this time it was good for Facebook cover... yeah, not funny.
This started out as a bigger pr
My deviantART StoryMany years ago, when I wasn't even an English speaker I registered here.
It was hard to register. I didn't get the "Become a Deviant" link does that as I didn't know any these words.
Then I left deviantART for a year or so, until I got my camera and started photographing. Since then I getting better and better reading journals, watching other artist.
Funny thing my main stuff is photography but I got noticed by my flash work.
This is my short dA story.
For the badge
I am a sellout...
also really if you read my journals you can build an image about me.
so there is that.
Histogram in HTML5 canvasI made it happen
I really like how Blender sculpturing works
I made this Anatomically Impossible Devilish Bird-feeder Slash (/) Flower-Pot From Hell statue without any planning in Blender. I just improvised all of it.
I used multires modifier on the default cube and this happened by sculpturing in 1 hour + 10 min of material setup / texturing + 1 hour of rendering in Cycles with 500 samples.
I think I should play more with sculpturing, because this one surprised me how good it turned out. I know this is far from the level called "professional" this is just a doodle compared to what real artist capable of, but I feel like I am getting better in this. And that is a good feeling.
Oh and I am very happy with this material.
I have new lens. A little testI bought attachment lens called 58mm 0.45x Wide Angle Macro Lens mainly for the macro feature.
What is this?
These kind of lens are cheap and not that good as they trying to sell them, but they are decent enough to use them (for example the "Super Wide" written on it is a lie "Wider than before" is valid). They are attached to the front of the original lens and that is all. As you can see it can be separated in two. When the two lens work together they are wide angle, when the bottom lens attached only they are macro lens.
I made test images. In both cases I photographed the same image from tripod without the attachment lens and with them too.
super duper wide angle bullshit
I like when I see my skills getting betterFor one that is why I never delete anything from my dA gallery. But now I done something else. I redo one of my 3D models with the knowledge I got in one year.
When I created this box it was really hard for me. Back then I just learned about texturing, I used Blender Internal for rendering and I was happy with the result. It looked kinda like in the cartoon. I even made an animation:
But now I revisited this model, because it come in my mind how easy it is to do. The thing I fought hours learning how to texture or even model it.... now it was nothing. I was lazy though, I didn't redraw the texture. But I remashed the model, I separated its top. I added wooden normal and spec maps under the original texture. I got rid of all those outlines and used Cycles and awesome (basic ) materials too.
It is not finished though and I will not finish it. I do not like to repeat myself. But it is really a good experience for me to see how better my skills now.
PlansI have some. Plans I mean. Photography plans those are.
one of those has a dog in it, will be interesting
others are still the old ones, pointless to say
also I have no 3D plans. Those just happen these days. most of it are unfinished fuckups, do not show it here.
yeah this journal just here to finish off the last one that is fun, but irrelevant this time.
and look at this skin! so retro.
Will you be my friend? The funny thing about people knowing you, is that many people want to be your friend.
"Will you be my friend?" is one those questions I get the most.
It's also one the questions I have to answer with a negative answer the most, because I don't like lying to people.
Like I've told in some of my earlier journals, my life didn't overflow with friendship nor popularity when I was younger. It was quite the contrary. I wasn't anything near popular, to the point that most people didn't even want to have anything to do with me. As the kid that got bullied, the few that dared to get close to me, more or less put their social status in the group at stake by even talking to me. And as a result, I guess I valued their friendship a lot. After all; I knew what they risked.
Coming from that sort of situation, friendship has always been a very important but at the same time mysterious matter to me. Something not be

Does talent exist?I know many people have different opinions about this. And here's what i think of it and why. I'll just answer the journal question up front, I think talent does not exist. And here's why:
Let's start with he question, what is talent? It's this magical thing that makes some people learn faster and develop faster than others in different fields. Let's take art for example, there are 2 different artists, both start at the same time to learn a concept and one learns faster than the other. But few people have stopped to ask themselves why that is? Is it talent, or is it something else?
Let me tell you a story about a guy who started an experiment to see if talent exists. He posted an add where he stated he's looking for a wife that will agree to marry him and let him test their children in this experiment. And they made 3 girls. The guy taught them all how to lay chess from a very early age, and lo and behold all of them became grandmasters in chess. This story is real, the guy is

5 ways to be more positiveDear, deviantart fellow artists
How to reach the happiness, how to have and maintain the positivity in our creative lives?
It's not an easy thing to stay positive all time. Trust me, I know... so here are some of my thoughts about the topic and I hope that they might be helpful.
1. Get away from negative people
Stay away from those who don't believe in you, who only show up in your lifes when they need something. As mentioned in the latest journal by DamaiMikaz - some people are just pretending to be your friends in order to use you or your skills (don't let them). Be aware of those who are trustworthy and it's said that "person will become the average of their five closest friends".. so be cautious and surround yourself with like-minded people, ones who support an

3D Camera TrackingToday I learned this. Camera tracking. Basically it is a very simple thing. I select points on the first frame of the video, Blender tries to track those points. After that it sets up a 3D environment for the video. Aaaand it is really good in tracking.
This is my first attempt:
As you can see I used my Sburb logo for this little test. The reason for that it is much better than the Blender monkey head. The low poly count helps me to render it fast. I am really happy with this, one of my best "first attempts".
