New promo created in BlenderYet again I created a promo video for the Klain Kalózok (Kalinka Pirates, pun doesn't work in English). They are a cosplay team that I am part of as well digital artist I guess. So here is the video:
I had this comic book idea for more than a year now, but I had no opportunity to use it. It was a good opportunity for it. Funny the TV channel Viasat 6 made a similar ad but with video clips in the frames. Well I planned to do that too, but I decided to go with images and 3D objects flying out from the big action frame because I have lot of good images, on the other hand it is impossible to find good video footage about them. Because this was time sensitive I used models found on Blend Swap. I created the comic book, the texts, some of the photos also mine. I credited the models and the music in the video description.
This was a 3 day project but I worked on it 10 hours at max. It has 1544 frames, it toke 7 hours of render at night (1.74 gb of png images). Not even full HD, sadly my
New(ish) Facebook Page coverI decided to upgrade my FB page's cover photo. I changed the content of the polaroid images, added new mirror ball (and updated its material too) and also made a better lighting using a hdri texture for environment.
AniNite 2014AniNite is Austria's biggest anime convention and I was there on all three days with MichiGasoline and Red-River-Prince
It was 3 awesomely good days. I made lot of photos that I will upload in the coming days, but for now I show you guys two images:
I couldn't resist to buy these little figurines. I figured it is a special thing I am there so I let myself to buy these. They are really small, Goku is about 4 cm tall. I treated myself. It is rare I spend money on anything at all. But look at them! They are so detailed and fun to look at them. I really liked the new movie, so this was a nobrainer to buy these.
What should I say... there were stuff that I can't explain. But I feel good about that, nobody bought this "costume".
I really can't say much about the event. It is big, it has lot of awesome cosplayers. It is three times bigger than anything we have here at Hungary. I planning
AFKFrom Friday to Sunday night / Monday morning I am away from keyboard as I attend to AniNite in Austria. So photos are coming soon.
Meanwhile check out hennechan's gallery. There are new photos by me about her in the gallery.
Also sorry for the delayed response here especially you dear Custom Box Code generator users.
More Facebook covers, that I do not upload hereIt happens a lot that I learn something new in Blender but I am not capable of making something that I consider finished or success. So I scrap the project. Most of the time they are good enough to be my personal Facebook profile cover images. So I render a 851x315 image from them.
This one is my latest knowledge: volume rendering in Cycles. It figured it would be good for some dark stuff so I started to make this. I realized my computer isn't good for this, so I scrapped it and rendered out this image.
This is the direct result of a tutorial about volume rendering. The Blender Diplom one. I really do not like to follow tutorials to make the exact same stuff, but this time it was good for Facebook cover... yeah, not funny.
This started out as a bigger pr
My deviantART StoryMany years ago, when I wasn't even an English speaker I registered here.
It was hard to register. I didn't get the "Become a Deviant" link does that as I didn't know any these words.
Then I left deviantART for a year or so, until I got my camera and started photographing. Since then I getting better and better reading journals, watching other artist.
Funny thing my main stuff is photography but I got noticed by my flash work.
This is my short dA story.
For the badge
I am a sellout...
also really if you read my journals you can build an image about me.
so there is that.

I really like how Blender sculpturing works
I made this Anatomically Impossible Devilish Bird-feeder Slash (/) Flower-Pot From Hell statue without any planning in Blender. I just improvised all of it.
I used multires modifier on the default cube and this happened by sculpturing in 1 hour + 10 min of material setup / texturing + 1 hour of rendering in Cycles with 500 samples.
I think I should play more with sculpturing, because this one surprised me how good it turned out. I know this is far from the level called "professional" this is just a doodle compared to what real artist capable of, but I feel like I am getting better in this. And that is a good feeling.
Oh and I am very happy with this material.
Want more commissions? This journal is for artists who want to get more commissions, or want to open commissions and never had so they don't know how best to present their art, or even for those artists who took commissions before but would appreciate some more tips
There are a few pretty important things to consider before publicly announcing you're opening commissions:
1. payment method. The deviantart commission widget takes 20% of your profit, but then again more deviants have points so you're likely to get 20% more customers like that. But don't forget there are people who have paypal and don't feel like dealing with points so if you decide to open commissions through deviantart, don't let that be the ONLY payment method.
Paypal is the most common payment method used online and i strongly recommend it. Make a paypal account, connect it to a card and you're ready. But don't forget paypal has a limit of $3000 per year withdrawal. So if you're serious about drawing art for a living and you

Inspiration: youtube artists (part 1)Dear, deviantart fellow artists
Hi - so I'm starting new series of journals with useful resources - mainly because I'm running out of topics to write about and I just like some diversity. (I'll continue to post general art/motivational journals too every now and then)
Here are some of my favorite youtube artists, that inspire me and I hope that these resources might be helpful for you too.
'Level up!' is an idea of two Polish artists - Wojtek Fus ( WojciechFus ) and Darek Zabrocki ( daRoz ), who want to teach and learn from each other. Level Up has expanded a host team by amazing Jonas De Ro (JonasDeRo ) There are weekly, 2 to 3-hours long livestreams with critiques, overpaintings and Q&A's. It's so wonderful to watch them paint and talks about important tips on art and life as an artists. Also check out their
The Illuminated World ContestStock & Resources
Imagine a world where the soft glow of the magnolia blossoms illuminates the sidewalk. The reaching branches of the tree cast their light over the street, reflected in the gathering puddles of a spring rain. A garden nearby is a riot of colors against the deep shadows of the night. The harsh artificial street lights that we know today are gone. What would your world look like? Is it a world where the need for fossil fuel has been eliminated, or have the scientists bio-engineered the earth into a beautiful apocalypse?
The idea of bio-luminescent plant illumination is a real project in progress by three scientists in San Francisco, California. These scientists are engineering marine bio-luminous bacterial DNA into plants to make them glow. You can read more about their project here: Glowing Plants: Street Lig
In 2007, when I first started paying regular attention to the DD page on this site, I quickly realized that the general photography galleries were being watched over by three ladies with an insane amount of talent in their medium but widely disparate styles and viewpoints - and they were all awesome. Staged, Sandra Keplinger, was this passionate German high-style lady with an eye for cinematographic compositions and journalistic attacks; hellfirediva, Tina The Rabbit Whisperer, was the Macro Queen who loved the colourful and the spunky; and then there was equivoque, Elinor Scott-Sutter, who seemed to be forever on the hunt for the most artistic executions possible. Over the years since then I had the chance to get to know each of them personally, and they all influenced my photography more than I'd ever like to admit. Sandra became an idol to me, and to date she's still one of my favourite photographers in the real world; Tina became a good personal friend, then
New dA LayoutOnly a few beta testers can see it for now, it looks like this:
(ignore my messages omg)
So many people are freaking out about it already.... but I totally love the new layout!
The only thing I would change is the new "activity feed" widget. Basically, you can write status messages on it, but it will also shows publicly your latest activities on the site, with big pictures of your submission, favorites, and journals, which is really big and clustering. I will be removing it, since I don't like that it can only be placed in top right of the page, since I use the custom boxes for my page layout and would rather put the widget under it. I will reconsider using it if it could be placed in other portions of the profile page.
3D Camera TrackingToday I learned this. Camera tracking. Basically it is a very simple thing. I select points on the first frame of the video, Blender tries to track those points. After that it sets up a 3D environment for the video. Aaaand it is really good in tracking.
This is my first attempt:
As you can see I used my Sburb logo for this little test. The reason for that it is much better than the Blender monkey head. The low poly count helps me to render it fast. I am really happy with this, one of my best "first attempts".
